Adidas Originals now have a new Grun Collection which strives for maintaining a better environment by using our natural resources. We recently made a post about keeping your environment cleaner and this would surly be a great way to start this process. These Adidas’ are made from both recycled and natural materials so they are definitely environmentally friendly, as long as you don’t dump them anywhere you are more than likely helping our ecosystem. More pictures of different models are after the jump. Via

SneakerSpeaker is very serious about creating a better environment. Every year, millions of pairs of athletic sneakers are thrown away, clogging landfills and wasting a lot of good material. Quite a while ago Nike created a campaign to help prevent this. The “Let Me Play” campaign is one which provides many opportunities to creating a better environment. One way in which they do this is by recycling used sneakers. Ever since this “Reuse A shoe” program started, 20 million pairs of athletic shoes have been recycled and used to create 250 sport surfaces for many young children to play on. Now its your turn to help out! You can either mail in your sneakers or drop them off at one of their convenient locations. To find out more visit Let Me Play and help keep your environment clean.

The Yo! MTV Rap show was aired in 1988 and gave people the chance to see artists like Doctor Dré, Ed Lover and Fab 5 Freddy. Puma has teamed up with Yo! MTV Raps once again to make another great sneaker. This time the Puma First Rounds will get the transformation. A white/hot pink color combination makes this shoe quite catchy, with the neon green laces only attracting more attention. Expect them to release sometime in the spring and be limited in quantity. Michael Jordan was an astounding all around player who not only played basketball but also gave a try in baseball. Knowing that Jordan was formally a Birmingham Baron, Jumpman will be releasing a pack consisting of two Air Jordan I’s to honor his baseball days. This pack was inspired by the home and away colors of the Birmingham Barons. Each sneaker retails for $100 on March 29th. There will also be a #45 Birmingham Barons inspired t-shirt sold on that day for $40.

The Levis Air Jordan I pack was expected to release next week, but for $625 you can purchase it right now on Uptempoair. Personally I think that this is a nice pack but keep in mind that your desired shoe size may not come with the desired Jean size and shirt size you may want.
