Dez, a graffiti artist/graphic designer from Houston has put quite some work into sneakers during his life. With creations like the Yakuza Air Force Ones and the Custom Air Jordan XX3’s its no doubt that this is not your average artist. Recently, Mountain Dew held an event (Green Label Art) in which many artists got their chance to blend art with the Mountain Dew brand. Many of the artist came up with some truly inspiring work, but Dez stood tall above others and won the contest. So tonight Mountain Dew and Seed Gives Life are preparing an event to honor Dez’s work. This event will be held from 7-11pm today at Diverse Works Art Space in Texas, and will be hosted by Bun B. Also Dez made a special pair of Dunk Hi’s to match his submitted work. Be sure to check it out. Info via sneakerfiles.

Just like we said before you really didn’t know what to expect for the 2008 NBA all star game. On thing we did know was that LeBron James was expected to be wearing the Nike Zoom Lebon V’s. We certainly weren’t expecting to see many player exclusive Air Jordan 23’s. Players such as Ray Allen, Carmelo Anthony, Joe Johnson, Chris Paul, and Richard Hamilton were spotted wearing Air Jordan 23’s. Out of all the players wearing the Air Jordan 23’s, the one who took away all the attention was Ray Allen who wore the Air Jordan Titanium 23’s. For those of you who were in New Orleans you probably experienced something which was unforgettable. More pictures after the jump.

For those of you who missed it we have a little peek of what the 2008 NBA All Star Dunk Contest looked like. With dunks going anywhere from blowing out candles to wearing a cape while dunking from the free throw line you really didn’t know what to expect this year.
Dwight Howard took home the title of this spectacular event.
