1986 was a big year for many sneaker manufacturing companies. The Jumpman Brand was started in 1986 and shed light on Micheal Jordan. But before that, there were many other brands which shed light on skateboarding. Vans, a shoe designed by Paul Van Doren in 1966 can be considered one of these shoes. The shoe was first intended to be a casually worn shoe but then made its way into skateboarding. This US brand was fired up within a few years and created different models like the Authentic, Skate hi, Slip- On and Strap. To this day Vans is a very common brand and and still releases many different models of their shoes. Seen above is a video of different skateboarders in 1986 displaying their smooth tricks while wearing their Vans.
Vans have been know for their original shoes, and now they have teamed up with Neck Face to produce a new line of products. These shoes are expected to release sometime this year. Not much information is out yet but stay tuned for updates. Via Hypebeast.
