The Air Jordan I’s expected to release later this year are raising a lot of attention. With this upcoming varsity red/dark army pair alongside the varsity red/black pair expected to release later this year you can only wait for a release date. Unlike the last preview, these pictures show the great quality of the premium leathers we were talking about. This pair comes with a red upper, white midsole and two-colored laces. The shoe swoosh features an army colored velvet material. They release on November 8th, 2008 for a retail price of around $125. If you heard about the new House of Hoops which opened up in LA but couldn’t get a chance to check it out then we’ve got you covered. The House of Hoops was a store created from the efforts of Nike and Foot Locker teaming up. Their first New York location is known to release many limited sneakers, and signature shoes. Now the 2nd House of Hoops in Los Angeles will hopefully follow in the first footsteps.
This new store is located in the Beverly Center Mall. As you can see in the pictures below, this new location is exactly what you would expect from a basketball gear retailer. At the HOH you can purchase anything from sneakers to shorts and a wide variety of athletic gear. Celebrities like Scottie Pippen and Ron Harper were seen there today celebrating the stores opening week. If your in the California area then be sure to check out the new House of Hoops.

This year it began with Nike, then Vans, and now we see Reebok getting into the Halloween spirit. All three brands released a shoe to commemorate this years Halloween season. Reebok chose to use their ERS 2000 model, and decided to design it with traditional Halloween colors. Also the toe area has a cut out pattern in the shape of a pumpkin, or at least the teeth of a pumpkin. The shoe has an all around black color along with some orange and yellow details. Its insoles are designed with scary smiling pumpkins. If your not looking for an inflated priced sneaker then this pair of Reebok’s are for you. They will hit Reebok Retailers soon, but in the mean time you can check out the pictures below.

The white/red/black color of the Nike Flight Lite High has hit retailers today. The Flight Lite model was initially seen on Scottie Pippen’s feet during some of his basketball career. As you can see the shoe features a translucent design, a very hi-cut design and large holes in the side panel for the passage of air. Though the shoes were initially intended for basketball play, you can expect to see many people wearing them casually. They are available not at Finishline for a retail of $110. To honor Jackie Robinson, Nike will be releasing the Jackie Robinson Blazer High Pack. The pack consists of a red/white, black/white, and red/white sneaker. Each color scheme has the Brooklyn Dodgers B logo printed all throughout the shoe’s upper. Along with a white midsole and white laces, each shoe also features a wavy pattern next to its swoosh and right above the midsole. An all time favorite, Duck Hunt is now inspiring Nike’s shirts. What you see here is Nike’s ‘Dunk Hunt’ shirts which were made combining ideas from Dunks and Nintendo’s Duck Hunt. The shirt comes in either a black or white color, with a constant Dunk Hunt design on both shirts. We can say that Nike is acquiring an addiction to video games, and with this release they are taking that addiction from sneakers to shirts. Releasing in this month of October will be Jumpman’s ninth Countdown pack. This pack will include the black/cement Air Jordan III (3) along with an all black color of the Air Jordan XX (20). Favored more in this pack will be the Air Jordan 3 since its making a return in the highly anticipated cement colorway. The pack will be available at a limited amount of Air Jordan retailers on October 18 for a retail price of $310. If you can’t wait to get them and have an extra $20 in hand then you can pick a pair for yourself at PYS.

Today, October 9th 2008 marked the official opening day for the House of Hoops in L.A. at the Beverly Center. To commemorate this event plus bring some attention to this new shop Nike released these four color schemes of their Hyperdunk model. As we informed you earlier, each pair was inspired by Kobe Bryant, specifically his life.
Seen on the top right corner is the ‘Lower Merion’ which is a well known Basketball High School located in Pennsylvania. To the right of that pair is the ‘Ronaldinho‘ Hyperdunk which was inspired by Kobe’s favorite soccer player, Ronaldo de Assis Moreira. The pair on the lower left is named the ‘Italy’ and made to commemorate Kobe’s Seven years spent there. Finally the sneaker of the lower right corner is the ‘Making History‘ pair which was inspired by Kobe’s 81 points against the Toronto Ratpors.
If you went to the House of Hoops in L.A. then you probably got a chance to get yourself a pair, if not then you might be able to grab one on Ebay. Keep in mind that each shoe is limited so reseller prices will be aimed high.

Asics recently released these two new color schemes of their Fabre model. The Fabre was used as a basketball shoe in the early 70’s, but in the 20th century its purpose is limitless. They will be releasing in a blue/white colorway along with a black/pink splatter pair. They feature a converse styled midsole along with a DC styled toe, but what keeps the shoe original is its curvy hi-cut design along with the Asics’ stripped trademark on the side panel.
